When will I know if I’m selected?

Final decisions will be made by the end of April.

Will you tell me if I’m not selected?

Yes, we’ll try to let everyone know.

How many interns will be selected?

For summer 2019, we will select one Copywriter, one Art Director and one Data Science intern.

When does the internship start?

Ideally, June 3, 2019. But we’ll work with you to accommodate graduations and other obligations.

How long is the internship?

Around 12 weeks.

Will I be paid?

Yes. You’ll be paid an hourly rate. You’ll also be eligible for medical benefits beginning in July.

What is the application process?

You’ll apply through the Swift.co site (linked from each job listed.) If you’re selected to move forward, you’ll be given a quick assignment (details provided at that time.) If you move forward again, you’ll have an in-person or video interview. We’ll make final selections from there.

Do I have to have a college degree?

Maybe. You’ll see some suggested skills and requirements in the full job descriptions.

Do I need experience?

Though you will learn things here, we’re not an actual school. We do encourage everyone with talent to apply, but read through the entire job description to see where you might stand.

What will my day-to-day work life be like?

Advertising is never the same day twice. Generally, we go from 9am to 5pm (but there will be earlier days and later nights.) You’ll work on real clients as needed, supervised by mentors and senior staff. You’ll also have other projects designed to unleash your best skills. And you’ll most likely pet dogs and eat snacks.

Where will I live?

You are responsible for your own accommodations. Some ideas to get you started:  Airbnb , PSU ‘s summer housing program and Arthouse. (And for $100 a month, you can get a transit pass.)

Will I be hired after the internship?

We can’t guarantee that you’ll be hired at Swift. Our goal is to help you prepare your portfolio and hone your skills for whatever comes next.

Will there be Fall/Winter/Spring internships?

Flight School is only scheduled for the summer. But who knows what the future may hold?
